I’d make up all these lame excuses about not feeling too well, having a headache or needing to study. But really, I just sometimes had this weird frightening feeling that something would happen to me, for no apparent reason.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;At the time, I simply brushed away those thoughts to the back of my mind and just hoped I’d not feel the same way the next day.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;It didn’t even occur to me that this was a symptom of a larger problem…and thinking that it was nothing…I just forgot about it hoping that it wouldn’t happen again.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;But, it wasn’t that easy…&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;About 12 months ago, I graduated with a pretty good degree and as a graduation present, my parents upgraded my lawn mower of a car that I used for college to a new shiny black car with a CD player!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;And even though I was overjoyed at getting the newer, faster and more expensive car…at the same time it actually have me a whole list of things to worry about.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;It was new and worth more and so would cost more if I crashed it or if anyone crashed into me. It was faster, which meant I was probably more likely to crash it and possibly hurt someone – including myself. The CD player would mean it would get broken into, vandalized and trashed leaving me stranded. And it was black, which is more dangerous at night.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So every time I drove the car, I would get this overwhelming fear that something terrible would happen. I’d grip the steering wheel so hard that my hands would get all sweaty and my heart would be pounding against my chest. I was no longer a carefree girl worrying about nothing but the next party or my schedule of going out. My diet was totally different, I was eating and sleeping less and the job workload made everything very stressful. I always wanted everything I did at work to be perfect because since I was so lucky in getting this job, I didn’t want to lose it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Then one Tuesday morning, the boss called me up to her office so I could present a finished client report. Now, I had worked on this report for close to 2 weeks and didn’t want to stuff up.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;As soon as I began to take my papers out of my bag in the boss’ office, I noticed that my hand was shaking very badly and my breathing became very short and rapid. Next thing I knew, my chest started to hurt and I became so dizzy that the boss had to call an ambulance.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The following week, &lt;b&gt;the inevitable happened…&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="color:#CC0000;"&gt;“I Was Layed Off My Job And My Boyfriend Left Me – All Because Of My Panic Attacks”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;After that second panic attack incident, I was forced to go on leave as I was deemed ‘unfit’ to work. I had to stay at home until I could figure out what was wrong and get better.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The worst thing was that I couldn’t even explain why these panic attacks were happening to me. I was so frustrated and angry at the same time.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Then one afternoon, my boyfriend came over to see how I was doing.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;And even though I knew he had the best intentions, I couldn’t realize that at the time, and instead thought that he was just a distraction that prevented me from figuring out this panic problem.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So I let out ALL of my anger and frustration on him and told him that I didn’t want him anymore. Slammed the door in his face and that was that.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Even my girlfriends thought I was behaving real weird, especially when they were sitting in my car while I was driving.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;My panic attacks became more frequent…&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The things that I was previously not worried about caused me to have the same feelings of panic over and over again.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I became fearful of going out and talking to other people because I was afraid that they would see that I suffered from panic attacks.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The next morning, a few of them called me up and they all told me the same thing: that I needed help.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;And that’s when I knew something had to be done about it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="color:#CC0000;"&gt;“I Tried EVERY Single Panic Attack Medication And Failed Miserably With ALL Of Them”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;My doctor actually wanted me to see a psychiatrist at first, but I eventually persuaded him that I just needed some pills to calm me down. He first prescribed me &lt;i&gt;Xanax&lt;/i&gt; – which I had heard about, and while I did feel slightly calmer in most situations, it made me incredibly drowsy every day I took it. Matter of fact, I developed a new set of panics with Xanax because I was paranoid about falling asleep while driving or missing my stop on the train.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So the Xanax obviously had to go, and my doctor gave me &lt;i&gt;Lexapro&lt;/i&gt;…which turned out to be a complete nightmare. Not only did it not make me any more calmer, it made my mouth unusually dry and I seemed to sweat more than before. In fact, it made me more hyperaware of everything and my heart was always beating really fast. Lexapro simply wasn’t working.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Then I tried &lt;i&gt;Tofranil&lt;/i&gt;, which only gave me migraines. After that, I tried &lt;i&gt;Zoloft&lt;/i&gt; pills which caused me to feel constantly nauseated and gave me diarroea. Then I was a prescribed a cocktail of &lt;i&gt;Imipramine, Clomipramine&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;Clonazepan&lt;/i&gt; which was a complete mistake because the side effects of irritability and dizziness really had my parents concerned.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;And after taking &lt;i&gt;Paxil&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;Klonopin&lt;/i&gt;, I literally couldn’t stand up straight because my stomach was always in pain.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Medication ALWAYS has side effects and in my desperation to rid myself of panic attacks, I didn’t even bother to take note of it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So after spending close to $1500.00 on panic attack medication, I just had to stop.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="color:#CC0000;"&gt;“Then I Tried Doing Psychiatric Therapy, But Was Forced To Give That Up As Well”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Since NONE of the medication was working for me, I decided to sign up with a psychiatrist.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;And for about 2 weeks, I was laying on a couch talking through my problems. Not only did this not help me in any way, but I was still experiencing panic attacks while driving and was still super nervous and anxious in a lot of situations.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So, the psychiatrist recommended me to take a hypnotherapy course and some acupuncture to ease my stress.
